Administrators' Seminar.

Course Length: 16 hours

QSA Global, Inc.’s Administrators’ Seminar provides training for the management of Isotope Radiography Safety Programs. This seminar covers key aspects in the establishment and management of Isotope Radiography Programs to assure conformance to applicable regulations.  Specific emphasis is placed on current, proposed, and new regulations covering USNRC, USDOT, IAEA, and Agreement State Legislation.

  • What are the course prerequisites?

    Students, at a minimum, should be or have been a radiographer with actual field experience using gamma-ray exposure devices. 

  • Who is this course for?

    New radiation safety officers, experienced radiographers preparing to advance into an RSO role, and existing RSOs wanting to refresh regulatory skills.

  • What will I be able to do after this course?

    After taking the course you will be able to:

    • Identify and know all regulations necessary to set up and run a safe Industrial Radiography program.
    • Become an RSO.  Experienced Radiographers preparing to advance into an RSO role can use this course to obtain regulatory agency approval to become an assistant RSO or an RSO listed on a license.
    • Maintain regulatory competence.  An existing RSO can use this course to update knowledge of current regulations.
  • Who provides the training?

    A trainer approved by QSA Global, Inc.'s Radiation Protection & General Safety Committee with multiple years of experience in radiographic operations.

  • What course materials & equipment is provided?
    • Administrators' Handbooks
    • Other miscellaneous materials as needed.
  • How will I be tested?

    Question and answer review at the end of the seminar.

  • What is the cancellation policy?

    QSA Global, Inc. has a 24-hour cancellation policy.  If you cancel your course with less than 24 hours’ notice, you will be charged 25% of your course fee.
