For over 30 years, JME has developed Pipeline Crawler X-ray Systems that produce the highest quality panoramic radiographs of pipeline welds. These pipeline crawlers are designed to inspect circumferential butt welds in new pipelines, such as oil and gas transmission pipelines, from 6-72 in (15.24-183 cm).
As a self-contained and self-powered exposure vehicle, JME's pipeline crawlers are ideal for a vast range of NDT applications both on and offshore. Their new DXB:1 Digital X-ray Buggy integrates with their entire CR2 Pipeline Crawler range to perform panoramic digital radiographs of circumferential welds on new pipelines - without the use of traditional film.
JME's unique handset, with a 4.3" touchscreen and multi-language support, allows external control and monitoring of the crawler as it operates inside pipelines.
The DXB:1 Digital X-ray Buggy performs high-quality panoramic digital radiographs of circumferential welds on new pipelines without using traditional film. No more chemical processing, dark rooms, or flaws associated with conventional radiography.
JME’s DXB:1 system communicates and integrates with the entire CR2 Pipeline Crawler Range. This allows 2-way communication between the Pipeline Crawler and DXB, giving configuration of key crawler parameters from the DXB control tablet. This integration also enables the commencement of inspection with the push of a single button. The DXB operator can control, adjust and view the status of the CR2 crawler at all times during an inspection task.
JME's 6:CR2 Pipeline Crawler X-Ray System is exceptionally compact, lightweight, and deployable in an Internal Diameter (ID) range between 5.5-18 in (140 mm-457 mm). Coupled with X-ray generators from JME or ICM, this system can produce internal panoramic single-wall-single-image (SWSI) radiographs of very high quality.
The JME 10:CR2 Pipeline Crawler X-Ray System is the most versatile worldwide, designed to produce high-quality panoramic radiographs of circumferential butt welds in new pipelines with an Internal Diameter (ID) between 9.5- 48 in (240-1220 mm). These pipeline crawlers work with the SENTINEL 880 Series Delta Gamma-Ray Source Projector, COMET's PXS EVO 200P and 300P X-ray generators, and various other manufacturers.
The JME 12:CR2 Gamma Pipeline Crawler X-ray System integrates with QSA Global, Inc's 880 Series Delta Gamma-Ray Source Projector to produce high-quality panoramic radiographs of circumferential butt welds in new pipelines with an Internal Diameter (ID) between 12-48 in (305-1219 mm). The coupling mechanism for the Gamma-Ray Source Projector is designed to be simple to use, making it very easy to remove the unit for secure overnight storage.
The JME 24:CR2 Pipeline Crawler X-Ray System is robust and suitable for use in a wide range of challenging environmental conditions. Deployable in an Internal Diameter (ID) range between 22-60 in (558-1524 mm). Coupled with Comet's PXS EVO 200P and 300P X-ray generators, this system can produce internal panoramic single-wall-single-image (SWSI) radiographs of very high quality.
JME’s unique pipeline crawler handset, with a 4.3-inch touchscreen and multi-language support, allows the user to set up and configure the entire pipeline crawler x-ray system, including the x-ray tube or gamma-ray projector prior to placing it in the pipe. It is also capable of providing real-time data from the system while in operation. The handset incorporates safety override and recovery features, making the new pipeline crawler systems more intuitive than ever. Features include:
